I love doing what I do.
For as long as I can remember I have been fascinated by the natural world, I have always wanted to know more; 'why?' has always been, and will continue to be, my favourite question. I have found that the better I know the the natural world - all of it, biology, chemistry, physics, psychology, and more - the more I learn about myself, it is this curiosity that lead me to the sciences and research in my early career. My mission is to cultivate curiosity and help people immerse themselves in the entirety of the natural world. Head over to my blog to know more about 'My Why' and a little more on my background.
I hold a BSc in environmental and biological sciences from the University of Kwa-Zulu Natal, a post-graduate diploma in Sustainability sciences and Carbon accounting from Swinburne University, am a FGASA qualified safari guide and a perpetual learner. I can confidently say that my on screen personality is a true reflection of myself. My journey with popularising science and natural world education started in 2018 with WildEarth as a presenter and guide, Rewild Africa as a research lead and Africam as the resident ranger.
I believe that exploring the natural world is exploring yourself, and exploring yourself is exploring the natural world. I ask my audience to be curious, ask questions, give yourself time and space to think about your existence and life on our planet.
